What you will be doing.

• High-impact leadership role alongside the Regional Manager
• Diverse, international project portfolio across West Africa, Asia, South America, and Australia
• Opportunity to guide a high-performing 20-person team, plus remote site engineers

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Support

• Act as a key support to the Regional Manager; lead in their absence
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Oversee team resourcing, workload and project delivery
• Provide guidance to remote construction teams
• Technical Oversight

• Lead or review design for tailings dams, heap leach pads, and geotechnical infrastructure
• Oversee investigations, testing, design, and risk assessments
• Contribute to construction and closure planning
• Produce and review technical deliverables (reports, specifications, drawings, performance reports)
• Attend inspections, review meetings, and workshops—locally and internationally
• Client Engagement

• Maintain and grow relationships with both local and international clients
• Support proposal writing, bids, and technical presentations
• Represent the company at client meetings and industry events

Requirements

• Chartered Civil or Geotechnical Engineer (or eligible)
• Significant experience in tailings, dams, or mine infrastructure
• Strong technical grounding with leadership potential
• Open to international candidates with relevant experience, who would be motivated to relocate to Australia, where the company will help with visa sponsorship
