About the role

Mercury Walch is seeking a full-time Printing Bindery Operator to join our team in Moonah, Tasmania. As a Printing Bindery Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production and finishing of high-quality printed materials for our diverse range of clients. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our Print Shop.

What you'll be doing

• Operate a range of bindery equipment such as collators, folders, stitchers, and trimmers to complete the printing process
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot bindery equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Work collaboratively with the printing team to deliver projects on time and to specification
• Prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively to meet production deadlines
• Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following all health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Printing Bindery Operator or in a similar role
• Proven ability to operate a range of bindery equipment such as collators, folders, stitchers, and trimmers
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to inspect finished products for quality
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a supportive environment
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Australian work rights are preferred but visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates
