As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled team delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care in one of Western Australia's busiest emergency services. You will assess, prioritise, and manage a diverse case mix, utilising strong clinical judgement and teamwork to deliver timely and effective patient care. The Emergency Department operates 24/7 and provides care to a broad range of presentations across adult, paediatric, mental health observation and resuscitation areas, with dedicated support from multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high‑quality emergency nursing care across a diverse patient cohort
Conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate care plans, and implement interventions
Utilise clinical expertise to monitor and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
Communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues
Document clinical care accurately and uphold professional standards
Prioritise and organise workload in a fast‑paced emergency setting
Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive ED culture
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of 2 years' Emergency Department experience essential
Demonstrated emergency nursing skills and ability to work autonomously
Effective communicator with strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to continuous professional development and quality care
Experience across adult and paediatric emergency presentations is desirable
