Your next career opportunity
You will have the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in random matrix theory as part of an ARC Discovery Project. You'll develop and apply Harmonic Analysis tools on symmetric random matrix spaces, exploring new frontiers in mathematical research. You'll gain experience in advancing spherical transforms, finite free probability, and quantum information applications whilst working alongside leading experts in the field.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct Innovative Research: Develop and apply Harmonic Analysis tools on symmetric random matrix spaces, contributing to the advancement of spherical transforms, free probability, symmetric function theory and quantum information.
Publish and Present Findings: Contribute to high-quality academic papers and present research at conferences and seminars.
Collaborate and Mentor: Work effectively within the research group and assist in supervising postgraduate students.
Contribute to Funding Efforts: Assist in preparing research proposal submissions to external funding bodies.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a talented researcher with a PhD (or near completion) in random matrix theory or a related area, with a strong publication track record and excellent analytical skills.
You may also:
Have expertise in orthogonal polynomials, spherical transforms, free probability theory, or symmetric function theory.
Possess experience in Riemann-Hilbert problems, superanalysis, or quantum information theory.Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Can contribute to grant applications and student supervision.
Thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
