As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will join a prestigious ARC Discovery Project, working alongside Dr Arunima Ray to explore the intriguing world of 4-dimensional topological manifolds. You will have the opportunity to develop your research expertise, contribute to high-impact publications, and collaborate with a diverse team of experts. This role offers you the chance to advance your academic career and make a meaningful contribution to the field of mathematics.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct Advanced Research: Collaborate with the Chief Investigator to explore 4-dimensional topological manifolds and publish findings in high-impact journals.
Engage in Research Training: Mentor and co-supervise undergraduate research students, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
Foster Academic Partnerships: Engage with professional bodies and stakeholders to develop collaborative research initiatives.
Contribute to Academic Community: Participate in seminars, conferences, and public presentations to disseminate research findings and promote critical enquiry.
You may be a great fit if:
You have a PhD in topology or a related field, with a strong research background and a desire to contribute to high-impact publications and collaborative projects.
You may also:
Have experience in low-dimensional or geometric topology.
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Be adept at preparing research reports and manuscripts for publication.
Have experience in supervising or mentoring research students.
