Osteria La Vallata, located within the stunning Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat, is seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who loves hospitality, people, and creating memorable dining experiences in a destination venue.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Primary Shifts: Thursday to Sunday
  • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
• Additional Hours: Functions, weddings, conferences, and special events
• Flexibility: Occasional weekday shifts for events or conferences
  • Rosters provided with ample notice

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all front-of-house restaurant operations
• Supervise, train, and motivate FOH staff to deliver consistent service excellence
• Ensure outstanding guest experiences, handling feedback professionally and proactively
• Implementation of policy and procedures
• Manage reservations, floor plans, and service flow
• Coordinate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
• Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and venue standards
• Assist with staff rostering and shift coordination
• Support the delivery of conferences, weddings, and private events

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Hospitality Supervisor
• Strong background in hospitality with a hands-on leadership approach
• Experience with POS systems and bar operations
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate
• Excellent communication and people-management skills
• Calm, organised, and solutions-focused under pressure
• Strong attention to service standards and guest experience
• Barista experience an advantage (training provided if required)
