Gold Coast institution Longboards Laidback Eatery & Bar requires a superstar to lead our team of industry legends.

Longboards Laidback Eatery & Bar located under the Q1 resort in Surfers Paradise requires an experienced Restaurant manager to help oversee the front of house operations. We are looking for someone who shows pride and passion in their venue and their role and who enjoys friendly banter with our guests and their team members.

The Role:
We are on the hunt for an energetic Restaurant Manager to take responsibility for the Restaurant operation, currently open 7 days per week. The hands-on role will involve continuing to build the atmosphere, supervising the established team and managing rosters and labour costs.

Candidates must be available to work weekends as part of the seven-day operational schedule.

Key focuses will include:

• Team Management: recruiting, rostering, training, and developing all front of house team members.
• Keeping our amazing guests happy
• Managing labour costs
• Compliance: Operating in line with the approved liquor licence, managing security, WHS and RSA requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2 years' experience in a management role in a fast paced venue with a proven track record in bar and casual restaurant operations.
• Experience supervising other team members on shift and training new team members.
• The ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance.
• Sound knowledge of point of sale systems.
• An innovative management approach: coming up with new ideas for improving the business, including driving and improving business sales.
• Valid RSA certification is mandatory for this role.
• Current Australian work visa is required, with potential sponsorship opportunities available for the right candidate.
