An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Associate Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive and well-equipped multi-site practice in the Canberra region.
This role offers genuine flexibility, exposure to advanced surgical procedures, and a clear pathway into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon position for the right candidate.
The Practice
This established organisation operates across two complementary clinics - a highly equipped, technology-driven hospital and a secondary clinic servicing a semi-rural community just outside Canberra.
The team is passionate, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional standards of clinical care. Both sites are extremely well resourced, offering:
EndoscopyCT imaging (at the primary hospital)Full in-house laboratory facilitiesDedicated dental suiteDigital X-ray and ultrasoundPurpose-built surgery suiteFully equipped outcall vehicle (at the secondary site) The Role
This position is split across both locations and offers a diverse caseload consisting of approximately 95%% small animal work, with a small component of mixed practice exposure. Large animal experience is not essential.
The practice has strong in-house surgical capability, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further advance their surgical expertise. You will be supported by experienced colleagues with advanced skills in:
Fracture repairsAbdominal surgeryTPLO proceduresSpinal surgeriesAdvanced imaging including CT and MRI
There is also a genuine opportunity for career progression into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon role at one of the sites.
