Magellan Power is seeking an experienced Service Electrician to join our growing service team. This role is open to suitably qualified electricians, with employer sponsorship available for candidates who meet technical and migration requirements.
About the Role
You will service, repair, install, and commission Magellan Power equipment across industrial and commercial sites. The role involves field-based work, fault-finding, commissioning, and professional client interaction across Newman.
Key Responsibilities
Service and repair Magellan Power equipment (on-site and in-house)
Perform commissioning and on-site service works
Install, commission, and troubleshoot:
DC Battery Chargers
UPS systems
Battery banks (Lead Acid & Lithium)
Conduct basic switchboard works and electrical installations
Diagnose faults and replace defective components
Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Perform testing, maintenance, and calibration
Complete service reports and client documentation
Deliver professional customer service
Maintain tools, equipment, and safe work practices
Training & Development
Structured training across all Magellan Power systems
Support to meet Australian electrical standards
Ongoing skills development and mentoring
Safety & Compliance
Comply with Australian WHS/OHS requirements
Follow Magellan Power’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
Demonstrate safe work practices at all times
Essential Requirements
Recognised electrical trade qualification
Minimum 3–5 years post-trade electrical experience
Ability to undertake Australian skills assessment
Eligibility to obtain an Australian Electrical Licence
(including completion of gap training / OTSR if required)
Willingness to obtain LVR/CPR certification in Australia
Manual Driver’s Licence (or ability to obtain)
Strong communication skills and professional work ethic
Eligibility for employer-sponsored visa
