We are looking for an experienced signwriter to join a leading signage company in Wangaratta, Victoria. The company offers in house graphic design, creating logos and branding for vehicle fleets, and tailored artwork for business signage and special events. Their design services cover logo, web, print and stationery design, packaging, brand guides, business cards and other marketing materials for both new and established businesses. The position is full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, weed, mask and lay-up vinyl lettering and graphics ready for application.
- Apply self-adhesive vinyl and protective films to vehicles, windows, walls and sign panels, ensuring accurate alignment and smooth, bubble-free finishes.
- Prepare substrates and apply printed graphics, decals and overlays to a wide range of surfaces.
- Operate large-format printers, laminators and vinyl plotters to produce and finish signage graphics.
- Fabricate and assemble basic panels, sign structures and lettering using materials including acrylic and PVC.
- Travelling to client sites to install signs as required.
- Use sign design software such as Adobe Illustrator to plan layouts, create print files and cut files for production.
- Consult with clients to review proposals, sketches and written instructions, and translate these into effective decal layouts, materials and finishes for their signage needs.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep work areas clean, organised and safe.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Certificate III in Signage or a similar qualification is desireable, applicants with significant experience but no qualification will still be considered
-At least 2 years experience working full time in a similar role
-Experience with vinyl cutting/plotting and applying self-adhesive vinyl to various surfaces such as vehicles.
-Attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality craftsmanship.
-Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the fabrication and installation process.

The successful applicant will be offered a salary of $70,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation commensurate with experience. Applications will be accepted until the 4th of March 2026. Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.
