About Us
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Leading Hand Carpenter to join a growing remedial and civil construction company delivering projects across Sydney Metro and NSW.
The business provides a wide variety of remedial services including concrete repair, crack injection, gunite spray, structural strengthening, as well as general maintenance and construction works.
In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will supervise site crews and subcontractors while also remaining hands-on across a wide variety of construction and remedial tasks.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering consistent work, variety of projects, and strong career progression for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
• Site Supervision and Leadership
• Supervise work crews and subcontractors across multiple projects
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects run smoothly and meet program and quality requirements
• Lead weekly pre-start meetings and attend site and client meetings as required
• Ensure all site policies, procedures, and safety systems are strictly followed
• Take ownership of site performance, productivity, and workmanship standards
• Accurately capture work hours and assist with daily reporting
Construction and Remedial Works (Hands-On)
• Formwork and concrete repairs
• Timber framing and cladding
• General building and maintenance work
• Steel fixing and hoarding installation
• Structural repairs and remedial works
• Coordination of materials, deliveries, and site logistics
Safety, Quality and Compliance
• Ensure all work complies with WHS, site, and client requirements
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organization
• Enforce safe work practices and lead by example on site
• Ensure productivity, quality, and program targets are achieved
About You
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience supervising site operations in remedial, maintenance, or construction environments
• OR a highly experienced Carpenter (5+ years) ready to step into or already operate in a supervisory or leading hand role
• Carpentry trade qualification (highly regarded)
• Strong background in maintenance, construction, and/or remedial works
• Proven ability to manage people, subcontractors, and site operations

Other Requirements
• Current Australian driver’s license
• Own vehicle
• Able to travel to regional NSW at times
• Available for some weekend work, night work, or shutdowns if required
• Australian work rights preferred (visa sponsorship may be considered for the right candidate)
Working Arrangements
• Full-time, consistent hours
• Monday to Friday
• Some weekend work, night shifts, and regional work may be required depending on project needs
