About the Role
Kirra Beach House is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to take the lead on functions and events. You’ll support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional event dining across weddings, corporate functions, and large-scale celebrations- all with the consistency and quality the venue is known for.
From planning to execution, you’ll oversee menu delivery, procurement, prep, and team coordination to ensure every event runs seamlessly.
You’ll:
Lead kitchen operations for functions and events with precision and consistency.
Support the Head Chef in menu development and event-specific offerings.
Manage and mentor the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food under pressure.
Maintain Site Hospitality’s standards of quality, safety, and service.
About Site Hospitality
Site Hospitality is a fast-growing group behind some of the Gold Coast’s most successful venues, including Crafty’s Sports Bar, kōst bar & grill, and now Kirra Beach House. Known for creative dining and genuine hospitality, the group continues to expand with new, high-performing venues.
About You
You have at least one year of Sous Chef experience in a high-volume or events-based kitchen, with strong leadership, organisation, and calm under pressure.
You’ll also be:
Confident in event service and large-scale catering.
Skilled in training and mentoring kitchen staff.
Passionate about fresh, seasonal, well-executed food.
A positive communicator and genuine team player.
Australian permanent residents and citizens are preferred, though sponsorship may be considered after a successful probation period for the right candidate.
