We are seeking a skilled and passionate Southeast Asian Cuisine Chef to join our kitchen team at Wavecrest Village & Tourist Park, located in Hopetoun, Western Australia. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Southeast Asian dishes with consistency, creativity, and high quality.
This is a full-time on-site role. 482/494 visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present Southeast Asian dishes (Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian styles)
Create and refine menu items to maintain authentic flavours
Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen to HACCP hygiene standards
Manage stock levels, ingredient freshness, and minimise food waste
Assist with training and supporting kitchen team members
Follow workplace safety and food handling regulations
Contribute to a positive team environment and support smooth kitchen operations
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Southeast Asian cuisine
Experience in a head chef or senior chef role is highly desirable
Strong wok and flavour-balancing skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work autonomously and in a team
Good communication skills and positive attitude
Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
