Provide a consultant role in Radiation Oncology Services.
Provide inpatient and outpatient care to public and private patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital in Radiation Oncology Services.
Be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and to be actively involved in research.
Undertake quality improvement activities.

A total value package of up to $499,771* will be offered depending on your level of experience.
*Value calculated for a full-time, Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11, (excludes any on-call or call back provisions).

The Role
Patient Care:
Provide Consultant Service to inpatients, and admit patients under their care.
Conduct or direct out-patient clinics in Radiation Oncology Services.
Participate in quality assurance programs for the Radiation Oncology Services.
Participate in an After Hours Consultants On call Roster for Radiation Oncology Services.
Teaching:
Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate specialist trainee teaching.
Liaise with the University of Tasmania, Department of Medicine in respect to the teaching of undergraduates.
Research:
Maintain an active involvement in research.
Management:
Responsible to the Head of Radiation Oncology Services.
Liaison with the University of Tasmania’s Department of Medicine on issues relating to undergraduate teaching and research.
Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
