We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi / Sashimi Chef to lead our raw bar offering and deliver an exceptional seafood experience on the Sunshine Coast.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a refined sushi and sashimi program within a fast-paced, high-end kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare high-quality sushi and sashimi with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
Create visually stunning dishes that showcase premium seafood
Assist in the design and execution of a refined raw bar menu
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and freshness
Work collaboratively with a professional culinary team in a premium environment
About You
You are driven, reliable, and passionate about Japanese cuisine, with strong technical skills and a calm approach under pressure.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Sushi or Sashimi Chef in a premium or high-volume kitchen
Chef Hat or fine dining experience highly regarded
Excellent knife skills and seafood knowledge
Strong eye for presentation and consistency
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced service environment
Flexible and willing to support other kitchen sections when required
