The Role We are seeking a Tax Accountant who combines professional excellence with a genuine passion for the arts and creative industries. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships and providing tailored tax and financial solutions that help creative clients focus on what they do best – creating. Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, and organisations in the arts sector.
Providing proactive tax planning, structuring, and advisory services.
Building trusted relationships with clients – understanding their unique financial challenges and opportunities.
Collaborating closely with the Director and senior accountants on client management and special projects.
Supporting valuation and compliance work as required (training provided if needed).
About You You will be both technically strong and personally engaging, someone who communicates clearly and empathetically with creative professionals who may not speak the “language of accounting.” Ideal skills and attributes:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
CPA or CA qualified or Tax Equivalent (or working towards) is helpful.
At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in taxation and business advisory.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
A genuine interest in the arts, culture, and creative industries.
Well-rounded, proactive, and adaptable personality.
Client facing experience is essential

Previous experience with Australian taxation is helpful but not essential – training and sponsorship will be provided for the right candidate.
