About our client
Our client is a specialist plastics fabricator with more than 60 years of operations in Australia, manufacturing trade waste tanks, grease arrestors, fabricated industrial tanks, planter box liners, aquaculture tanks, and custom plastic products. Products are supplied to plumbing, industrial and landscaping markets, with approved grease traps and trade waste tanks available for delivery nationwide. Operations span Victoria and Western Australia enabling local build and support. Our client is offering a steady pipeline of work across standard and custom builds, exposure to compliant trade waste solutions, and the opportunity to work within documented QA and traceability systems across multiple product lines.
About the opportunity
This is a workshop-based role fabricating thermoplastic sheet products for tanks, liners and related assemblies, with occasional local site work. You will work from drawings and job specs to prepare cutting lists, complete fabrication at welding stations, perform QA to EN standards, and maintain documentation within ERP workflows.
In this role, you will:
Deliver high-quality thermoplastic fabrication to ISO/DVS standards
Execute precise butt and extrusion welds with full QA ownership
Lead and mentor junior fabricators to lift capability and safety
Drive workflow efficiency, documentation and traceability
Support compliant site installation work when required
About you
You are an experienced thermoplastics professional who owns quality outcomes and is ready to mentor others while improving processes and throughput.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Substantial workshop-based experience with PE, PP and PVC
Mastery of butt and extrusion welding
Ability to read drawings and prepare cutting lists
Familiarity with destructive/non-destructive test criteria and traceability
Experience mentoring juniors and improving workflow
