Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Vehicle Accessory Fitter / Coach Builder from overseas to join our Specialised Vehicle Manufacturing & Fitting Divisions. This is a hands-on role in fitting, modifying, and fabricating specialised vehicle components.

Key Responsibilities

• Install aftermarket vehicle accessories, including boot hoists, wheelchair lift devices, and wheelchair restraint systems
• Lay automotive-grade carpet and install/remove internal fixtures such as headlining and plastic trims
• Fabricate custom-made brackets for vehicle fittings
• Work closely with engineers and managers to ensure quality and precision in all modifications

Requirements / Experience

• Essential: Experience in wheelchair accessible vehicle or mobility device modification
• Fabrication of customised brackets for vehicle fittings
• Experience in specialised vehicle manufacturing (fire trucks, motorhomes, trade fit-out vans)
• Van conversion or coach building experience
• Experience with Kia lowered floor conversions for wheelchair users

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Wetherill Park, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Motor Vehicle Mechanic: 4 years (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• Motor Trade License (Required)
