Veterinary Referral Hospital (VRH) in Melbourne, Australia, is seeking a registered specialist or board eligible veterinarian in veterinary radiology to become part of a collaborative, progressive and friendly team in a well-equipped hospital.

VRH is a busy, multi-specialist veterinary hospital located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our clinic is a true multidisciplinary centre with specialists in radiology, critical care, anaesthesia, neurology, surgery and internal medicine. We have a strong neurology focus performing 4-5 MRI’s a day. We are a true tertiary hospital renown for working up the weird and wacky cases that will have you scouring the literature for answers. Our team values collaboration and we foster an inquisitive and questioning culture to yield the best results for our patients and give you the greatest satisfaction in your role. There is the capacity for teaching and mentoring as our hospital employs both rotating and fixed specialty interns and we currently have a first year radiology resident.
Our radiology department currently consists of two specialist radiologists, a radiology resident and three radiographers. We have a 1.5T GE MRI, a 16-slice GE CT, an Accuson Sequoia ultrasound as our mainstay and 3 additional ultrasounds used throughout the hospital and a brand new Zenition 70 Phillips C-arm fluoroscopic perfect for swallow studies and interventional procedures. Our reading room is tucked away in a quiet corner with flexible standing sitting desks and multiple screens designed for your viewing pleasure.
The Position
This position is for a specialist (or residency-trained registrar) in radiology with a degree and qualifications registerable in Australia, who enjoys and values working collaboratively in a progressive and friendly team environment.
We value a healthy work life balance and know to bring your best to work you need to be rested and getting time to do the things you love outside of work. As a result, our working hours can be flexible. Both full-time and part-time applicants are encouraged to apply. Full-time can be individually varied consisting of three 12-hour shifts, four 10 hour shifts or any combination you please. The position can also be flexible with the possibility of remote working days, though the job is primarily clinic based.

We pay well compared to other specialty hospitals in Australia and can be competitive on price. We are offering from $300,000 AUD (150,000 Pounds Sterling, 171,000 Euro) for a full time equivalent boarded radiologist and $220,000 AUD (110,000 Pound Sterling,125,000 Euro) for a residency trained board-eligible radiologist
