We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing a variety of metal structures, components, and equipment using multiple welding techniques. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical ability, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical documents to plan layout and welding sequences.
Perform MIG, TIG, electric arc, and oxy-acetylene welding based on project requirements.
Operate drill presses, grinders, power saws, and various hand and power tools.
Clean and maintain equipment using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
Ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards.
Participate in hazard identification, incident reporting, and workplace safety programs.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Maintain knowledge of First Aid, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
Contribute positively to team morale and uphold workplace conduct standards.
Support training and development of apprentices and new team members.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
Trade Certificate in Welding and Fabrication (or equivalent).
Proven experience in MIG/TIG welding, structural steel work, and agricultural fabrication.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
