Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical documents to plan layout and welding sequences.
• Perform MIG, TIG, electric arc, and oxy-acetylene welding based on project requirements.
• Operate drill presses, grinders, power saws, and various hand and power tools.
• Clean and maintain equipment using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
• Ensure full compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards.
• Participate in hazard identification, incident reporting, and workplace safety programs.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain knowledge of First Aid, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
• Contribute positively to team morale and uphold workplace conduct standards.
• Support training and development of apprentices and new team members.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade Certificate in Welding and Fabrication (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in MIG/TIG welding, structural steel work, and agricultural fabrication.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
