We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join our timber manufacturing operations in Ingleburn. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong expertise in operating and maintaining woodworking machinery used in the production of custom timber pallets, crates, and casings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Interpret technical drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine job specifications
· Identify and set up appropriate tooling, machine settings, and sequence of operations
· Operate and supervise sawmill moulder and panel saw equipment
· Perform cutting, planing, turning, shaping, and sanding of timber stock to exact specifications
· Prepare ISPM15-compliant timber and oversee docking processes
· Train apprentices and support production line team members
· Ensure quality control and efficient output in a multicultural team environment
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in timber machining or equivalent
· Advanced skills operating sawmill moulders, panel saws, and general woodworking machinery
· Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
· Team leadership or supervisory experience desirable
· Bilingual communication skills advantageous
· Familiarity with ISPM15 timber treatment standards
