Responsibilities As an Anaesthetic Nurse specialising in ophthalmology, you will:
Prepare and maintain anaesthetic equipment and supplies for ophthalmic procedures.
Provide expert support to anaesthetists during surgeries, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
Educate and support patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring a smooth and reassuring experience.
Qualifications To thrive in this role, you will need:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with AHPRA.
Proven experience as an anaesthetic nurse, with a strong background in ophthalmology.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the demands of a dynamic healthcare setting.
Day-to-Day Your day will be filled with meaningful and impactful work, including:
Preparing patients for anaesthesia and ensuring their comfort and safety.
