About the role

Towards the Horizon Pty Ltd, a leading provider of behaviour support services in Northern Territory, is seeking applications for Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their dedicated team. Full-time and part-time positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex support needs. Based in Darwin, NT 0800, you will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment that prioritises professional growth and work-life balance.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement positive behaviour support plans to enhance the quality of life for clients with complex support needs
• Provide training and ongoing support to clients, families and support staff to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support strategies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including allied health professionals, to deliver tailored, evidence-based interventions
• Maintain detailed client records, write comprehensive reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery
• Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Nursing or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans for individuals with complex needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a solutions-focused approach
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a person-centred approach to service delivery
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and handle a varied caseload effectively
• Current driver's license and willingness to travel within the local area as required
