A Residential Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction of residential building projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Typical duties include:
Supervising daily site operations and coordinating trades and subcontractors.
Ensuring construction work complies with building plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Scheduling and monitoring project timelines to meet construction milestones.
Conducting site inspections to maintain quality workmanship.
Managing site safety, identifying hazards, and ensuring safe work practices are followed.
Ordering and coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Resolving on-site issues, delays, or conflicts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Communicating progress and updates to project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Maintaining site records, including daily reports, inspections, and incident documentation.
Monitoring project costs and helping control labour and material expenses.
Ensuring the site is kept clean, secure, and organised.
Coordinating inspections by building certifiers and arranging required approvals.
Assisting with practical completion, defect inspections, and handover of completed homes.
