About the role

We are seeking a talented CDP Chef/Pizza Chef to join the kitchen team at locale mio pty ltd in Guildford, WA 6055. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests, with a particular focus on pasta and possible 2 days in pizza. This role is central to maintaining the high standards of quality, consistency and presentation that define our establishment.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, with experience in pasta a must. Also grill and fryer stations.
2. Ability to make pizzas is beneficial but not essential
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your kitchen station and all food preparation areas
4. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to manage food preparation during service periods
5. Monitor food quality, taste and presentation before dishes leave the kitchen
6. Manage inventory and communicate stock requirements to senior kitchen staff
7. Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and health regulations
8. Assist with menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
9. Support the head chef and kitchen management in maintaining kitchen standards and procedures

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Chef de Partie (CDP) or in a similar mid-level kitchen role
2. Demonstrated expertise in pizza preparation, ideally with experience in wood-fired ovens
3. Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certifications preferred
4. Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods
6. Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction from senior kitchen staff
7. Passion for quality ingredients and authentic cooking techniques
8. Flexibility with shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
9. A relevant culinary qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous
