ESUSHI JAPANESE RESTAURANT Pty Ltd. is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team in Melbourne, GEELONG. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations at one of our restaurants, ensuring high-quality food preparation and maintaining efficient kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Manage daily kitchen operations
Oversee stock rotation and inventory control
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
Assist with menu planning and development
Maintain consistency and quality in all food preparation
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Chef
Previous experience with Asian cuisine is highly preferred
Strong kitchen management and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety standards
assisting with the training of staff
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers and Front of House staff
