The Lion Richlands is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our established kitchen team on a full‑time basis.
About the role
As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your section, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service. You will play a key leadership role within the kitchen, supporting junior staff and contributing to smooth and efficient service.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage your assigned section during service
Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a consistently high standard
Ensure food quality from preparation through to presentation
Demonstrate correct cooking techniques and mentor junior kitchen staff
Maintain effective communication with management, kitchen, and FOH teams
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards are met and maintained
Contribute to a positive, professional, and team‑focused kitchen culture
About you
You are a reliable, passionate, and experienced hospitality professional who brings strong leadership and attention to detail. You will have:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Proven ability to perform in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
Professional presentation, punctuality, and reliability
A genuine passion for food and quality service
