Hecho en Mexico is preparing to open a vibrant new restaurant in West End, bringing authentic Mexican cuisine and a high-energy dining experience to Brisbane. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chefs to join our team on a full-time basis. Multiple roles are available including front house with sponsorship opportunities for the right candidates.
The restaurant is set to open in a few weeks and we are seeking highly experienced staff to manage the kitchen for immediate start. Please note some part of the training may be done in Cairns or Melbourne. We will pay the expense.

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation
Key Responsibilities
As a Chef, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking high-quality Mexican dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
Designing and contributing to menu development, including seasonal updates
Ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Managing kitchen operations during service, including coordinating workflow
Supervising and training kitchen staff, including apprentices and junior cooks
Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards in line with regulations
Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising food wastage
Assisting in cost control, budgeting, and maintaining kitchen efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
A relevant qualification (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) is preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle service pressure
Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
Passion for Mexican cuisine and delivering high-quality food
