Cardamom Restaurant is seeking a highly skilled Tandoor Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role requires specialised expertise in traditional Indian tandoor cooking, which is essential to our menu and operations.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic tandoori dishes using traditional methods and maintaining high culinary standards in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present tandoori dishes including breads and meats
Operate and maintain a clay tandoor oven
Prepare marinades and spice blends from scratch
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes
Assist in menu planning and development
Maintain kitchen hygiene in accordance with Australian standards
Minimum Requirements:
At least 2 years of relevant full-time experience in a similar role
Demonstrated experience with tandoor cooking techniques
Strong understanding of Indian cuisine
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
