The opportunity
Based in Broken Hill, the Clinical Lead – Primary Care and Rural Generalism combines rural generalist clinical practice with the opportunity to shape the future of primary healthcare across Far Western NSW. You will provide high-quality care across the Clive Bishop Medical Centre, outreach clinics and virtual services while leading GP education, strengthening clinical governance and driving service innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing clinical leadership across RFDS primary healthcare services throughout Far Western NSW
Delivering comprehensive rural generalist care across clinic, outreach and telehealth settings
Supervising GP and Rural Generalist registrars through RACGP and ACRRM pathways
Helping develop RFDS' Rural Generalist training model and education framework
About you You will bring:
Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM (FACRRM or FRACGP-RG highly regarded)
Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality rural and remote medical care
A genuine interest in medical education, workforce development and rural generalist training
A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to innovation, quality improvement and culturally safe care.
