Global Medics is partnering with a public health organisation that operates in a coastal region of New South Wales to recruit a permanent Consultant in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

Role Overview:
The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry service provides mental health care for patients with comorbid physical and psychological conditions, including those in medical/surgical wards, rehabilitation, and the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert psychiatric assessment, treatment, and management for patients with comorbid mental illness, including delirium and dementia.
Offer clinical leadership to multidisciplinary teams (MDT) and provide advice to hospital staff.
Participate in on-call rosters and contribute to quality improvement/safety.
Employment Type: Permanent Full-time (part-time hours may be negotiable).
Essential Selection Criteria:
Coming from the UK - Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), awarded under any RCPsych curriculum from August 2007 to date following satisfactory completion of a General Medical Council or Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board approved specialty training program in psychiatry in the United Kingdom.
Other Countries - Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent. Substantially comparable outcome of RANZAC assessment.
Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult/Older Adult Mental Health
Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team
