Eighty Twenty Cafe is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook / Chef to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the business in designing menus and creating innovative dishes
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency
Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality
Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations
Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes with precision and creativity
Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service
Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Cook or Chef
Relevant culinary qualifications are highly desirable
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Solid understanding of food safety and WHS standards
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A creative mindset with a passion for modern culinary trends
