Delhi 'O' Delhi is seeking 2 x full-time Cooks to complement our kitchen team. As a Cook, you will be tasked within our high-octane kitchen in the heart of Newtown NSW. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for preparing signature dishes for our patrons. Duties include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cooking meals, checking ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the dishes.
The full-time role is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents. We can consider visa sponsorship for suitable foreign professions. Remuneration will be $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation depending on the level of skills and creativity you have to offer.
Main Responsibilities:
Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience, inhouse and at caterings
Serve meals by assembling recipes and cooking ingredients as per the signature menu
Prepare ala carte requested food items as needed to meet guest dietary requirements
Executes food production in accordance with standards of plating guide specifications
Attend to the detail and presentation of each order with efficient sequencing
Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Ensure that inventory of supplies is completed regularly, and items are in-stock
Ensure that deliveries are stored in their proper place and in a timely manner
Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the Head Chef
Participate in hiring, training and orientation of new employees and their tasks
Listen to customer complaints and suggestions and resolves complaints
Implement suggestions within parameter of position and escalates complex concerns
Contribute to programs designed to improve quality of service and kitchen productivity
About you...
You hold a Certificate IV or higher qualification in culinary arts or hospitality field
You are a hands-on Head Cook with minimum 2 years' experience in a similar environment and cuisine
You will enjoy being on tools and bringing your creations to life
Contribute with trendy ideas, new concepts, and dishes to elevate the brand presence
Good knowledge of WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes
