Are you looking for something different and a bit of adventure in a truly unique part of Australia? The Hoochery Distillery, Western Australia's oldest distillery and a pioneer of Australian craft rum, is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic team member to join us in a Rum and Gin Distiller

Located just 13km outside the township of Kununurra in the breath-taking Kimberley region, this is your chance to immerse yourself in a dynamic role that evolves with the seasons.

About the Role:

Production Focus

• Fermentation - with both molasses to make rum and various grains to make whiskey
• Distillation - Rum, gin and whiskey through our pot still
• Blending and Bottling spirits
• Canning - we have our own canning line, canning premium cocktails
• Inventory control - this is an important part of the position due to our remoteness and difficulty getting inputs in a timely manner.
• Coopering - due to our remoteness, we cooper our own barrels
• General maintenance - lawn mowing, cleaning around the shed etc

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has a strong distilling, brewing or wine making experience that is willing to dedicate several years to learning our craft and be part of the team making one of Australia's most icon rums.
• Strong organization & record keeping skills
• Is hands-on, adaptable, and eager to learn
• Enjoys working in a small, close-knit team
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is comfortable living and working in a remote, rural location - This is important as our distillery is 13km out of the township of Kununurra in the remote Kimberley region of WA.
• Current drivers licence, own car and forklift ticket is essential
