Velocity Home Lifts is a proudly Australian, family-run business specialising in the design, build, installation and servicing of high-quality residential lift systems across New South Wales.

We are continuing to grow and are looking for a skilled Lift Installer/Electrician to join our experienced team. This role may suit an Australian licensed electrician, or an overseas qualified electrician who is looking for a genuine long-term opportunity with an employer who may consider visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, service, and repair residential elevators across Sydney, Penrith & regional NSW
• Wire and test lift systems and control panels in our clean, well-organised factory
• Interpret and apply electrical schematics and VSD motor controls
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Work both independently and alongside a skilled, supportive team
• Play a key role in mentoring others and representing Velocity on-site

About The Role

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical work, problem solving and taking pride in a quality finish. You will work across our factory and client sites, assisting with the installation, servicing and repair of residential lift systems.

You will be supported by experienced lift professionals and given the opportunity to develop specialised skills in a growing and in-demand industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair residential lift systems across Sydney, Penrith and regional NSW.
• Wire, test and fault-find lift systems, control panels and related electrical components.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Work with VSD motor controls, control panels and lift system components.
• Complete work safely, professionally and to a high-quality standard.
• Represent Velocity Home Lifts professionally when working in clients’ homes.
• Work independently and as part of a supportive, skilled team.
• Assist with mentoring, training and supporting other team members where required.

What We Are Looking For

• A qualified electrician, or overseas qualified electrician with relevant trade experience.
• Current Australian electrical licence, or ability to meet NSW licensing requirements before carrying out unsupervised electrical work.
• Experience with lift installations, VSD motors, control panel wiring or mechanical systems will be highly regarded.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and follow technical instructions.
• Mechanically minded, practical and solutions focused.
• Strong safety awareness and pride in workmanship.
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to keep learning.
• Flexibility to travel across metro and regional NSW sites when required.

 About You

You are someone who takes pride in doing the job properly. You are hands-on, reliable, mechanically minded and comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical systems.

You may already be working in Australia, or you may be an experienced overseas electrician looking for the right employer and long-term opportunity in Australia.
