Emergency Department Registrars (or equivalent level doctors) Onshore or NZ/UK or Ireland trained to join a private Emergency Department network in Australia.
These positions are suited to doctors at FY4 level and above with a solid foundation in Emergency Medicine, looking to transition into the Australian system with structured support and a manageable clinical scope.
Key aspects of the role include:
Autonomous overnight ED coverage with on-call FACEM support
Exposure to a broad mix of emergency presentations (excluding major trauma and paediatrics)
No expectation to perform procedural sedation or major fracture reductions overnight
Access to ICU support where required
Opportunity to lead shifts and manage patient flow independently
These positions function similarly to Career Medical Officer (CMO) level, within a non-tertiary, non-accredited training environment.

Established emergency departments with consistent patient flow
Structured clinical support, including minimum SPPA Level 2 supervision
On-call specialist support for escalation
A practical and supportive environment for doctors transitioning from the UK/Ireland system
Requirements
UK or Ireland trained doctors only
Minimum FY4 level (or equivalent)
At least 2 years’ (3-4 years preferred) experience in Emergency Medicine onshore or within NZ / UK or Ireland
Experience working in busy ED environments with increasing clinical responsibility
Ability to work independently overnight with senior support available remotely
