Mabunji Aboriginal Resource Indigenous Corporation (“Mabunji”) began its life as a resource centre in 1983, with its core purpose to support the Aboriginal people and homelands of the Borroloola region of Northern Territory.
Malandari Flexible Aged Care is a place where old people live and are looked after. It is located at the edge of town, only a few hundred meters from the convenience store and service station.
About the role
Mabunji Aboriginal Resource Indigenous Corporation is seeking a compassionate and qualified Enrolled Nurse to join our Malandari Flexible Aged Care based in a very remote location, Borroloola in Northern Territory.
This is a permanent full-time employment position. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate. Any decision regarding visa sponsorship will be made only after a two-week trial period, during which you will be required to demonstrate your skills, work ethic, and overall job performance. Accommodation support will be provided during both the trial period and ongoing employment.
If the trial period is successfully completed and both parties agree to continue the employment arrangement, the visa application process will commence. Please note that this role is based in Borroloola and requires onsite work.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing holistic and culturally responsive care to Aboriginal elders
Providing supervised medication administration, health checks, and personal care
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident’s care to ensure optimal outcomes
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for each resident
Participating in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge
Record the assessment data in online Clinical system on a regular basis.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Must be a Qualified Registered or Enrolled nurse, with relevant experience.
2 yrs minimum experience working as EN in Remote Aged Care or Australia.
Should be AHPRA Registered or shall be willing to be undergo AHPRA registration
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team
Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Willingness to live and work in a remote community of Borroloola, Northern Territory
Basic English communication skills
Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Valid Driver’s License
