About the Role
The Fees and Scholarships Officer supports students by administering fees, scholarships, sponsorships and prizes. The role delivers accurate, compliant and student-focused services, while providing advice on complex enquiries and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems. Working closely with students, staff and external stakeholders, the position plays an important role in ensuring effective financial administration and a positive student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Administer student fees, scholarships, sponsorships and prizes in accordance with University policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Provide timely and accurate advice to students and stakeholders, resolving complex enquiries and issues related to fees and financial assistance.
Maintain accurate records and data across student and finance systems, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and service delivery to enhance operational efficiency and the student experience.
About the Team
The Fees and Scholarships team is part of the Student Services Division and provides essential support to students throughout their academic journey. The team manages student fees, scholarships, sponsorships, prizes and related financial processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the University to deliver accurate, efficient and student-centred services.
What You'll Bring
Relevant qualifications and experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines to resolve complex enquiries and issues.
Experience working with administrative, student management or financial systems in a complex service environment.
Role Details
Fixed term, Full-time appointment (until March 2027)
Level 5: $85,682 - $96,898 + 17% superannuation commensurate with experience and capability.
Location: Wollongong Campus
