Cherratta Lodge is seeking experienced tradespeople with strong preventative maintenance and fault‑finding capability to support the ongoing operation and presentation of our remote accommodation facilities.
This role is ideally suited to qualified HVAC technician, plumber, electrician or well-rounded carpenter/builder who enjoys a varied FIFO environment and taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance across site assets. While the role includes general maintenance tasks, the focus is on trade-based maintenance, diagnostics, and early intervention to prevent downtime and reactive repairs.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Performing preventative maintenance and first response fault diagnosis across accommodation facilities
Maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and associated services (within trade scope)
Identifying, reporting, and addressing maintenance issues before escalation
Supporting servicing of plant and equipment, including lighting, fixtures, appliances, and amenities
Assisting with swimming pool plant checks and basic maintenance
Completing general maintenance and minor repair works as required
Conducting routine site inspections and maintaining maintenance records
Operating a forklift when required
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with WHS and site safety standards
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant trade qualification (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred however all trades welcome to apply)
Demonstrated experience in preventative maintenance and fault finding
Current Forklift Licence (LF) – essential (or willing to obtain)
Ability to work autonomously and prioritise maintenance tasks effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality
Valid Australian residency or eligible for visa sponsorship
