Fire Rated Systems (FRS) is looking for an experienced Fire Technician / Carpenter to join our growing team in Perth.

FRS specialises in passive fire protection and works across both service and construction projects, providing compliant fire protection solutions throughout commercial, residential and industrial sites.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Fire Technician, Carpenter, or tradesperson looking to develop their career within the passive fire industry.

About the Role

You will work across a variety of service, maintenance and construction projects throughout Perth, including:

• Installation, repair and replacement of fire-rated doors and door sets
• Fire door maintenance, adjustments and compliance works
• Installation and rectification of passive fire penetrations
• Fire stopping and penetration sealing
• Installation of passive fire protection systems
• Defect rectification and general carpentry works
• Service and maintenance works at existing client sites
• Construction and new installation projects
• Reading plans, specifications and installation requirements
• Completing work to relevant Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications
• Accurately recording completed works and site information

You will work alongside our experienced technicians, project team and service department to ensure works are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in carpentry, passive fire protection, fire doors or a similar trade
• Has strong practical and problem-solving skills
• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship
• Has good attention to detail, particularly around compliance requirements
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Is reliable, organised and communicates professionally with clients and colleagues
• Holds a current Australian driver's licence
• Holds a Construction White Card

A carpentry qualification and previous experience with fire doors, passive fire penetrations or fire protection systems will be highly regarded.
