Located in the beautiful Riverina irrigation region of Finley, NSW, Woodlawn Pastoral Co has one full-time Dairy Farm Hand (Milking) position available.
We have a diverse, friendly team and pride ourselves on providing a positive, supportive workplace for people who are passionate about the dairy industry and fresh food production. Our milking cows are housed in a modern free-stall barn and milked three times daily in a 50-bale rotary dairy.
About the Role
As a Dairy Farm Hand, your duties will include:
· Pre-treating and milking cows in the rotary dairy.
· Identifying and reporting cows showing signs of mastitis or other health issues.
· Cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards in the dairy before and after each milking.
· Assisting with general farm duties.
· Assisting with calf rearing as required.
· Working a roster that includes evening milking shifts.
About You
The successful applicant will:
· Be reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team.
· Have a positive, can-do attitude.
· Possess good communication and English literacy skills.
· Have good attention to detail.
· Be calm and confident when working around livestock.
· Be committed to working with us for a minimum of three months, with a preference for applicants seeking longer-term employment.
Previous experience in agriculture or dairy farming is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
