This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Geriatrician to join a large regional health service delivering comprehensive care across acute, subacute, rehabilitation, and community settings.
The role offers broad clinical exposure, a collaborative physician group, and genuine flexibility around service interests. You’ll work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams with support from junior medical staff, allied health, rehabilitation services, and aged care programs.
The department continues to expand its geriatric medicine capabilities, creating scope for consultants seeking a varied and rewarding practice with opportunities to shape service delivery and contribute to future planning.
The Opportunity
You will provide specialist geriatric medicine services across inpatient and consultative settings, including:

• Acute geriatric assessment
• Orthogeriatrics
• Cognitive and memory assessment services
• Rehabilitation and transition care
• Falls and frailty management
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning
• Support and supervision of junior clinicians

There is also the opportunity to become involved in teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and service development projects.

Requirements

• Fellowship of the RACP or substantially comparable qualification
• Eligible for registration with AHPRA
• IMG candidates assessed as substantially comparable are encouraged to apply
• Demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary geriatric care
