About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to join the team within the Bambini Trust Group at La Riviera - located in Sydney CBD
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading a talented kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional Italian and European cuisine within our iconic group.
What you'll be doing
Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management
Develop and refine innovative, high-quality menu items that showcase your culinary expertise
Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
Lead, motivate and mentor a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improve kitchen processes and procedures
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (2+ years) as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment
Proven expertise in preparing and presenting Italian and European cuisine to a consistently high standard
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop your team
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating innovative, flavourful dishes
Formal culinary training or qualifications in hospitality or culinary arts
Must be located in Sydney for a 3 months probation before SPONSORSHIP.
