Embers Fusion Indian Restaurant is looking for an experienced Indian Chef to join our busy kitchen team in Shellharbour, NSW.

We are a large and established Indian restaurant with an extensive traditional and fusion Indian menu. We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, hardworking and passionate about Indian cooking.

POSITION: INDIAN CHEF

We are particularly interested in chefs with strong experience in one or more of the following areas:

Indian curry section

Tandoor Indian entrees and street food

North Indian and Punjabi cuisine

Bulk preparation and busy restaurant service

Preparing sauces, gravies and marinades

Maintaining food quality and consistency

Food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant Indian cooking experience preferred

Ability to work confidently in a busy commercial kitchen

Good knowledge of authentic Indian flavours and cooking techniques

Reliable and punctual

Available to work evenings and weekends

Good communication and ability to work as part of a team

Must be currently in Australia and available to start soon
