Are you a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter with solid experience working within an FMCG, food manufacturing or production environment?
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based near Fremantle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants a long-term role with a business that values experienced maintenance professionals.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for keeping a busy manufacturing and production facility operating safely and efficiently, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance across a range of production equipment.
This is a hands-on role where your mechanical fitting experience will be highly valued. You will work closely with the broader production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime, identify recurring issues and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

Your Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and fixed plant
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections
• Fault-find mechanical equipment and identify potential issues before they become breakdowns
• Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings, pneumatic systems and associated production equipment
• Assist with equipment changeovers, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all relevant WHS, food safety and site procedures
• Contribute to a positive and proactive maintenance culture

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:

• A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade / Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Fitter within an FMCG, food manufacturing or high-volume production environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on automated production machinery and fixed plant
• A strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team
• A strong focus on safety, reliability and quality
• Good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach

FMCG or food manufacturing experience is highly desirable, particularly candidates who have worked in environments where equipment reliability and minimising production downtime are critical.

The Roster
This position operates on a rotating two-shift roster:

Week 1:
Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:00pm
Week 2:
Monday to Friday - 2:00pm to 10:00pm
You will therefore have the benefit of a structured Monday-to-Friday roster while rotating between day and afternoon shifts.
