With continued growth across the business, the finance function supports a complex project environment and plays an important role in supporting the scale of operations and delivery of an exciting pipeline of projects.
About the role
Reporting directly to the CFO, this broad Management Accountant role combines financial and management reporting with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and process improvement.
You will take ownership of key reporting across the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, while playing an active role in the annual budgeting and forecasting process. The position also has a strong operational focus, working across cash management, general ledger, finance systems and reporting processes within a project-based environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Complete month-end procedures, reconciliations and general ledger management
Prepare accurate and timely P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting, including overhead budgets
Take ownership of daily cash management and support broader cash flow forecasting
Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
Improve and align finance processes to support accurate and efficient reporting
Work across finance systems and integrations to maintain the integrity of financial information
Support broader finance and project initiatives alongside the CFO and finance team
About you
This opportunity could suit a strong first mover from Big 4 or mid-tier audit or Business Services, a second mover with around 6 to 12 months+ of commercial experience, or someone with construction experience looking for broader exposure.
The ideal candidate will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
Strong accounting fundamentals and month-end experience
Exposure to management reporting, budgeting or forecasting
Strong Excel and financial systems skills
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills and ability to work across the broader business
Jobpac experience would be advantageous
