About the Role:
The service covers the full scope of maternity care including antenatal clinics, parenting education classes, pregnancy and postnatal assessment services, a 4-bed birthing suite, 20 bed inpatient ward, 8 bed special care nursery and extended care midwifery services for women when they discharge home after birth. We also offer women dedicated lactation services as well as connections through our allied health colleagues for social work, women's health physio and diabetes services and perinatal mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing or midwifery care to patients and families
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Support patient education and discharge planning
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
About You:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife
Coming from overseas - experience in UK, Ireland, USA, Canada or NZ
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care
Ability to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
Commitment to patient-centred care
Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare environments
