Lorg Talent is recruiting multiple experienced MIG Welders on behalf of a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in prefabricated building solutions. Due to continued growth and increasing project demand, several permanent opportunities are available within its Melbourne workshop.
These are permanent, workshop-based positions offering consistent full-time hours, overtime opportunities and 482 visa sponsorship for suitably qualified candidates.
Key responsibilities
Completing MIG welding and general fabrication duties
Fabricating steel components used in prefabricated building projects
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Producing work accurately to the required specifications
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality
Following all workplace health and safety requirements
Working independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
About you
To be considered, you will have:
Previous experience working as a MIG Welder
Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding), or an equivalent trade qualification that is Australian recognised or eligible for Australian recognition
The ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
The ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment without compromising quality
Excellent attention to detail
A reliable and punctual approach with a strong work ethic
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transport to the workplace
Australian-based candidates and suitably qualified overseas applicants are encouraged to apply. Candidates requiring sponsorship must be able to meet the requirements for a 482 visa and the relevant skills assessment.
