An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join a growing women’s health service within a large regional hospital.
This position offers the chance to work within a collaborative and progressive department delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynaecology care across a diverse regional population. The service is committed to improving patient outcomes, strengthening multidisciplinary care, and supporting ongoing clinical development.
You will play an important role in delivering specialist services while contributing to teaching, mentoring, and the continued expansion of women’s healthcare programs across the health service.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior clinical leadership, responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Participating in on-call and rostered consultant services
• Supervising and supporting junior medical staff and trainees
• Contributing to education, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration
• Involvement in patient safety initiatives, clinical governance, audit, and research activities
• Supporting service development and continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• FRANZCOG or equivalent specialist qualification
• RANZCOG assessed Substantially Comparable applicants encouraged to apply
• Advanced Trainees within six months of Fellowship welcome to apply
• Eligible for registration with AHPRA
