The Opportunity
We are working closely with a major regional referral hospital and are seeking FRANZCOG-qualified Obstetricians & Gynaecologists interested in permanent full-time opportunities within a busy and well-supported Women’s Health department.
The service delivers comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care across a large regional catchment, with consultants involved in maternity services, operative obstetrics, emergency gynaecology, and elective surgical care within a structured consultant roster.
This position offers strong procedural exposure, broad clinical scope, and long-term career stability within a substantial regional health network.
The Hospital & Women’s Health Service
This large regional referral hospital provides acute, surgical, ICU, paediatric, and specialist services to a significant and growing population base.
The Women’s Health service includes:

• Busy maternity unit with consistent annual birth numbers
• Special Care Nursery support
• 24/7 obstetric theatre access
• Comprehensive gynaecological surgical services
• Integration with Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and ICU
• Established referral pathways to tertiary services

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG)
• Specialist Registration with AHPRA, or eligibility
• International Medical Graduates assessed by RANZCOG as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to apply
